Three-person dev team Damage State have announced the release date, finally, for their upcoming shooter Scathe! This comes alongside an all-new gameplay trailer that showcases your dark magic powers and how they can be used to battle all the evils of hell. Scathe is the first release from the studio, looking to create top-tier premium indie titles, and is being released by Kwalee who have in the past released games such as Eternal Hope. It’s time to grab your Hellhammer, lock’n’load and get ready to unleash your fury!

Scathe PC Release Date

You must scour the underworld for ancient relics and harness the dark powers of fallen mages to gain the power you need to survive. In this adrenaline fueled nightmare inspired by classic FPS titles you wield big guns against even bigger demons. You play as Scathe; ‘Enforcer of the legions of Hell, forged from the earth by the Divine Creator themself. And you, like your fallen kin before you, must prove your worth by navigating a deviously crafted maze, entangled with demonic evil at every twist and turn.’

Your task is simple, you must collect three hellstones and escape this place, each level is hand-crafted and you will need to use all your wits to get out in one piece, and smite all that stand in your way. The twist? This is a bullet hell game, where you have to use your movement to dodge enemy projectiles as you shoot and spell your way through hordes of enemies using a huge arsenal of weapons. BUT THERE’S MORE; the game even has drop-in drop-out online multiplayer allowing you to survive the maze together. Don’t expect it to be easy though, as all players share the same pool of lives.
