This October, developer Rebelplug dropped by the Steam Next Fest game showcase and is now taking part in the DreamHack Indie Showcase until the 23rd of October. This has all been vital in promoting their upcoming futuristic farming tycoon game, Roboplant. Aside from the buzz it garnered, we also have an actual release date.
Since its showcase on Steam Next Fest, the community has been making noise, giving suggestions, and helping out. Features such as the ability to sell and place orders even when the spacecraft has landed have found their way into the game. Bug fixes and a more intuitive tutorial were also added into the mix.
For those unfamiliar, Roboplant players begin their mission by embarking to the singular planet available at the start, and building the first foundation of their business. Hiring loyal robot workers and adding the necessary farming equipment will then allow the first vegetables and fruits to grow. Aside from building a hydroponic farming empire, missions to save Earth and its population are also an option to escape from the mundane.
