As the game goes into early access and players get the chance to finally experience the game for the first time, Studio Sloclap and publisher Microids have unveiled a physical version of the game, dubbed the ‘Vengeance Edition’ alongside a new trailer.
Sifu, for those not in the know, is basically your favorite kung-fu revenge movie, except you’re in control. Featuring realistic and raw combat, sifu tells ‘the story of a young Kung Fu student who has spent their life training for a day of reckoning after the brutal murder of their entire family by a mysterious assassination squad.’
Meshing the intensity and adrenaline of the beat-em-up with the engaging design of 3d action games, Sifu sees you fighting as a magical pendant wielding kung-fu master, this pendant will revive you after death, but at a cost. Every time you die, you age, and if you die that’s game over!
Rendered in an exquisite hand-drawn art style, the game wears its inspiration on it’s sleeve, and is punching for a high level of quality. The digital versions of the game will be available on Feb 8th on the Epic Games Store and Playstation Store, but the new Vengeance edition will release May 3rd for Playstation 5 and Playstation 4.
