Indie point and click narrative adventure game Best Month Ever! has touched down just in time for Mother’s Day. A bittersweet branching narrative puts players in the shoes of single mother Louise as she takes her 8 year old son Mitch on a road trip across America after discovering she only has one month left to teach him how to be a man. As the story progresses you jump between playing as Louise in the 1960s and Mitch in the 1970s to see how the choices you made in your encounters on this road trip made him the man he ultimately became.

Decisions, Decisions
BME! packs a morality system that measures your choices against 3 stats; righteousness, confidence, and relation. Each one guides Mitch’s personal development and combine to give you one of 9 endings. Turn your boy into a living saint, a bitter instrument of vengeance, or a well balanced compassionate man. (It’s up to you but bitter instrument of vengeance sounds pretty fun to us.)
American Horror Story
On their trip across country Louise and Mitch are confronted with the best and worst that America can throw at them. From Louise’s boss at the diner she works at threatening to withold her final pay cheque in return for sexual favours to an old war veteran rewarding Mitch with the lighter that he carried through World War 2 if you decide to do him a kind turn, Best Month Ever! tells a mature story, taking players on a bittersweet rollercoaster through the highs and lows of motherhood and human nature set against the turbulent political and social upheaval of the 1960s.
The Mother of All Partnerships
BME! was developed by Klabater in partnership with Warsaw Film School. Lead by Maciej Szcześnik, the game designer for the Witcher 2, and Filip Hillesland, a CDPR intern turned film director with a number of internationally praised projects on the festival circuit, BME takes stylistic inspiration from classic road movies like Thelma and Louise while its mature narrative sits comfortably within its supporting game systems.
