Anime fans and TCG duelists alike believe in the heart of the cards. The story is no different with mobile video game company, Damo Games, who just teased the release of Space Leaper: Cocoon a vibrant, 8-Bit intergalactic mobile card RPG that’s set to deliver a whole lot of eye candy.
The premise is quite the nice amalgamation of anime tropes that we love, regardless. The game takes place in the year 3230 after a cosmic explosion threatens everyone’s existence and leaves society in shambles. Those who remain travel onboard “The Cocoon”, a ship built to traverse space in search of a way to, in essence, repair the universe. In an alternate world set in 2022, you connect to the Cocoon’s Terminal System in the far future, transcending time and space through a mobile app that kick-starts your card game adventure.
As a player, you take control of the Leapers, a group of colorful, anthropomorphs created from cosmic radiation. Complete your team to assist the Cocoon in intense card-battling action, with more teammates looking to join after the game’s release. With everything being completely free-to-play, it’s hard not to get in on saving the universe with this colorful cadre of Leapers, yes?
