TMNT Heroes In A Half-Shell Are Back In Shredders Revenge

TMNT fans looking to relive the glory days should be happy to hear that there is a new game, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge coming to PC and Switch in 2022.

Cowabunga Dude! Ok sorry that will be the only cliché reference but its hard not to start pulling out lines from one of childhood histories most beloved and baffling franchises.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles holds a special place in many older hearts as a classic cartoon of the 80’s, but for many (me included) it also reminds me of being in some run-down seaside town and finding the 1989 classic arcade game by Konami which would consume all the coins in my pocket.

The Konami arcade game was a huge success and there have been numerous games since then. Though of recent years the teenage quartet have been more likely to be seen in other games as guest characters.

However, TMNT fans looking to relive the glory days should be happy to hear that there is a new game, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge coming to PC and Switch in 2022.

The game is being developed by Tribute games is a side-scrolling beat’ em up which aims to mimic the classic games of the 80’s and 90’s with its pixel art style updated for the modern day. Our favourite green protagonists Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael return along with April O’Neil as they clean up the mean streets of Manhattan. You can expect to crack the skulls of plenty of members of the Foot Clan as you fight to stop Kang and Shredders latest evil plan. Plus, old favourite bad guys Bebop and Rocksteady will also be making an appearance.

As you might expect this will be a co-operative multiplayer game with each Turtle having their own unique fighting style and abilities. This time round April O’Neil will also be a playable character ready to jump into the fray and help the green team out.

Foot clan member applications had been down recently.

The developers Tribute and publishers Dotemu are known for their retro games and ports so we expect to see a pretty faithful reimagining of the classic 90’s games. If you are looking to get back into the world of the Turtles or just love old skool beat’ ep ups this looks like one to keep an eye on.

Bodacious….sorry, sorry.
