The horrifying folks over at DreadXP have announced another compilation of games. This fifth instalment of the Dread X Collection is an all-new selection of a whopping 12 titles that you can pick up right now. Of course, this includes another part of the Dread X universe plotline. This collection’s theme is ‘entertainment’, which can lead to some interesting opportunities.
The games included in the collection are:
Outpost 3000 – Made by Christopher Yabsley, this is described as ‘A birthday bash at Outpost 3000 is every small town kid’s dream. But this alien themed party venue holds something more sinister beneath the surface. Can you face your fears and avoid the clutches of The Stranglemaw?’
Karao – Coming from Stroboskop, this game has you navigating a mysterious train station after a night of karaoke.
Rotten Sigma – Brought to us by VisceralError, this game follows the aftermath of the disappearance of 12 children, and a retired policeman who decides to investigate.
Spirit Guardian – From Nikk F., find out the mysteries of a haunted daycare.

We Never Left – FYRE Games’ Conner Rush brings us a ringing phone on a dark and stormy night, and a voice saying ‘Finish the game’.
HUNSVOTTI – A middle-ages finnish take from the find of Roope Tamminen, a community celebrating an event on a midsummer day discover a magical power, and a ritual that must be completed.
Gallerie – Shackles has created a tale in an infamous gallery with stories of frightening disappearances.
The Book of Blood – Darkstone Digital, who made The Mortuary Assistant, a game which was popular in the let’s play scene when it was released, has made this entry for the collection. It’s described as such; ‘The night signals closing time at Pomeroy Grasslands carnival and its employee Trevor volunteers to lock up. Alone in his booth, with a strange book in Lost and Found, a man steps out of the darkness and hands Trevor a note: “let me in.”’
Vestige – imagine playing a nostalgic game from your childhood, Philip Hesselback’s entry imagines that playing such a game unearths a dark memory from the past.
Resver – In colorfiction’s entry, it’s the 20th anniversary of the tragic fire that claimed so many lives at the resver nightclub, and it’s going to be a night to remember.
Ludomalica – After a memorable time in the HPS1 Madvent Calendar 2021, iwilliams returns with a board game based horror described as the following; ‘It’s past midnight and mom and dad are gone for the weekend. There’s no better time than now to try playing Ludomalica. It’s just a board game, right? But something feels … wrong.’
Beyond The Curtain – FNAF fans might find something to like in Matt Reeves’ entry to the Dread X Collection 5, where a child wakes up after a puppet show in a dilapidated old theatre to find they are trapped in the building, and there’s something there with them.
INTERIM – The final entry in The Dread X Collection 5 comes out of Phantom Sloth Games, described as; ‘Alfred moved to Hollywood, with nothing more than a few dollars in his pocket, and a dream in his heart. A dream to be front and centre as the leading man in a major motion picture. All eyes would be on him, in the INTERIM.’
