Magic: The Gathering Brings Doctor Who to Universes Beyond

Magic: The Gathering Universes Beyond is collaborating with Doctor Who, a BBC series that is celebrating its 60-year anniversary this coming year.

Wizards of The Coast is definitely on a roll this month. After the release of Journeys Through the Radiant Citadel, we’re looking at quite an interesting, yet awesome IP partnership.

Magic: The Gathering Universes Beyond is collaborating with  Doctor Who, a BBC series that is celebrating its 60-year anniversary this coming year. This collaboration will feature a Doctor Who set, which will be quite the treat for any Whovian–or casual fan alike. This set will include every Doctor, companion, and villain from every series. 60 years in total. Now, that’s a lot of cards.

The Universes Beyond set will have collector boosters with alternative art treatments in conjunction with preconstructed Commander decks. We’ll also be getting four Commander decks with collector boosters and alternative art cards

This collaboration also coincides with the premiere of Doctor Who Season 14 in late 2023. This could only mean that a plethora of new characters will be making appearances as well.
