Tanuki-sama Studios is hosting a rather unusual, yet understandable Steam sale for their courtroom-based adventure title, Nina Aquila: Legal Eagle, Season One. The name of the sale is quite–well, it’s straightforward, if nothing else. Dubbed the “We’re based in the UK and the value of the £ is crashing, but Steam pays us in US dollars so f*ck it, 50% off” Sale!

The impetus for the sale is mainly to encourage other UK-based developers who are experiencing the same setback. This is also in order to raise funds in the indie space, and give any possible boost for indie studios’ revenue.

The game features a series of courtroom-adventure games, in which players step into the shoes of the titular proudly plus-size protagonist. In each chapter, Nina finds herself representing the defendant in an anime genre-themed court case, with contexts that range from serious to downright shenanigans.
“Earnings from our first Steam release, Nina Aquila: Legal Eagle, Season One directly help with our budget for future development, meaning that right now, every sale of our game, temporarily, gives an extra boost! So we thought a sale at this critical time would be a great way to get the word out,” Ethan Fox, owner of the studio says.
TSS is reducing the price of Nina Aquila: Legal Eagle, Season One by 50% for one week, starting today, October 3, 2022.
