Independent developer Silvernode Games is all about feline sleuthing–and we can’t wait. Their comedy-noir “point-and-lick” adventure game, Nine Noir Lives, will soon be dropping into PC via Steam and GOG–feet first.
Cat lovers and fur parent gamers alike will be treated to a film noir, detective story that follows Cuddles Nutterbutter as he unravels the feline mysteries that litter the mysterious streets of Meow Meow Furrington–a beautiful, hand-drawn city that’s absolutely purr-ty.
The story, themes, and tone of Nine Noir Lives draws its inspiration from classic film noir and absurdist comedy–with a smidge of Shakespeare. Thanks to this clash–yet perfect combination of these two genres, Silvernode Games introduces a unique, comedic adventure grounded by more serious subject matter
At the end of the day, no matter how hard-boiled you are as a detective, you’re still a cat. Poke, talk, and lick your way through a murder case that threatens a cold, yet cordial relationship between the Montameeuw and Catulet crime families–a bit on the nose, but cute nonetheless. Players will interact with dozens of fully-voiced characters, explore beautiful hand-drawn scenes, and solve a variety of puzzles to solve this gritty mystery in an otherwise fluffy and warm town.

We set out to make the sort of game that we always wanted to get lost in.
