We ask ourselves what happens when Lukas Krew and Rune Raccoon come together and build a visual novel from scratch in seven days? This Game is Self-Aware. I know this sounds like a declaration, and it is. But it’s an actual visual novel that features hijinks, shenanigans, and a whole lot of freedom.
Coined by the creators themselves as “extremely silly and whimsical”, players shouldn’t expect any sense of seriousness or coherence in this title. TIt’s an interactive visual novel made from scratch in a single week courtesy of the Only One of Any Asset (O2A2) Jam. It’s also Lukas Krew’s very first visual novel.
What follows is the exact result, should you grant your own characters self-awareness. It’s exactly what you would expect as you interact with “the protagonist”, choosing from dialogue prompts and triggering actions depending on what tickles your fancy.
