Freeze! New game, ahoy! Publisher Top Hat Studios and developer Molegato just dropped their latest title which features a certain level of coolness attached to it. No, scratch that. Frogun is straight-up ice cold–and definitely in a good way. So, just chill, alright?
Frogun follows the story of Renata, a child left alone at base camp by her explorer parents. When they mysteriously disappear in the depths of the Beelzebub Ruins, it’s up to you to find and rescue them from peril. Now, what better device could you bring on such a dangerous trek? The eponymous ‘Frogun’–an intelligent, frog-shaped grappling tool that has all the bells and whistles.
The game comes packed with a load of features, namely collectables, challenges, and sweet, old school pixel graphics. There are a multitude of settings, from mysterious jungle ruins, to fiery lava pits. Perfect places to have a sentient ice gun, for sure.
With an ample amount of difficulty as you encounter puzzles, enemies, and fearsome bosses to boot. The mechanics coupled with the aesthetics of this game all come together in a nice, ‘cool’ package. There’s a lot to explore and collect, so if you’re up to the challenge, remember to stay frosty. That’s enough ice wordplay for today.
