After years of delays, waiting and patience, The Stanley Parable has got much more than just a release window, it’s got a full release date. As we’ve previously talked about, The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe has been in a strange place for a while now, but finally we know when we will have it in our hands, and it’s sooner than you’d think!
The Stanley Parable, for those who don’t know, is an indie darling released in 2011, and an adaptation of a Source mod. A game of many, many endings, The Stanley Parable provided limitless creativity and seemingly endless choices. A simple first person, constantly narrated experience that anyone who has played it will tell you has no right being as good as it is. The initial announcement of Ultra Deluxe at the Game Awards was in 2018 with the release planned for 2019; however, since then, they have held mostly silence around the release until late 2021, where a release window of early 2022 was given.
The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is a new version of The Stanley Parable featuring new endings, areas and improved visuals, and now we finally know when we can get our hands on it, as a new trailer cleverly shifts Stanley’s employee number, 427, into a date; 4/27. So there it is, on April 27th, less than a month away, we can finally see what’s newly in store for Stanley.
