Developer and publisher Tripwire Interactive and retail co-publishing partner Deep Silver are capping off the month of September with some deep sea destruction. It’s Shark Weekend, people.
Players can now experience true underwater brutality with the Maneater Apex Edition, which includes both the Maneater base game and the Maneater: Truth Quest DLC.
For those unfamiliar, Maneater is a single player, open world action “ShaRkPG” where you play a literal king of the ocean. As you start small, you’re tasked with surviving the harsh underwater world while eating your way up the food chain. It’s no easy task, but getting to the top was never a swim in the ocean park.
Find the right resources to grow and evolve far beyond what nature intended–becoming quite the apex predator you were meant to be. Tailor your qualities and skills to your playstyle, and devour everything in your path.

The Maneater: Truth Quest DLC takes players to a brand-new island off the coast of Port Clovis and comes packed with new evolutions, challenges, wildlife, and more. You’ll once again need to go on an unholy undersea rampage while uncovering a mysterious conspiracy. I’d call it a Shark Tale, but then again, there’s way more blood involved.
Maneater Apex Edition is coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One on September 30, 2022.
