JanduSoft and Isoca Games released the popular arcade-roguelike LootLite via Steam in 2021. It’s safe to say it garnered just the right amount of hype to keep it going strong. That same level of hype brought forth its 2022 release on all the other major consoles around. Rightfully so.
For those unfamiliar, LootLite allows players to select from eight different heroes–champions who are tasked with recovering valuable stolen treasures. The game’s setting spans across a peninsula full of mystery, secrets, and an assortment of weapons to help you unravel the former.
Like every great roguelike, you fight, loot, fight some more, likely die, and then repeat. Assuming the role of the chosen heroes takes you on a path of uncertainty and peril as you eventually come across an assortment of enemies and beasts, such as the dragons which steal all the valuable trinkets you acquire. Through each level is a different path to choose. The decision is all up to you–but either way, it’s always best to be prepared for a battle.
The shift to a larger variety of consoles can only improve the LootLite experience. You’ll still be getting the arcade-roguelike sweetness that was once a PC exclusive. The mission is simple. Choose among the 8 unlockable characters, travel through every corner of the peninsula, grab whatever you can, and bring a friend along if you so desire. Along the way, maybe die a couple of times. Rinse and repeat.
