Acting as a successor to the award-winning Maid of Sker, Sker Ritual is a new 1-4 player co-op survival shooter. An official game description reads; ‘The Quiet Ones have returned and they are not alone! Face hordes of new and familiar enemies, supercharged elites with unique supernatural powers, upgradeable steam-punk weapons, interchangeable spine-chilling masks and mysterious story objectives from writing talent behind Maid of Sker, Battlefield 1 and Total War: Rome II.
Sker Island has recruited new elites, each with a unique set of abilities that will force you to change-up your playstyle, change your location, or enlist the help of your teammates! Old enemies aren’t the only ones to curse the lands of Sker, we have many more new faces — even some without faces — that want to destroy you.’
Sker Ritual is coming to PC via Steam this summer, and is aiming for a next-gen launch later in the year. Wales Interactive have released a new trailer featuring the teleporting banshee, the lethal mariner, the invisible phantom and the returning maid of sker and Abraham. This title is playable solo, but also supports up to 4 players online, get your teammates together and watch in horror as the island’s hordes scale to your team size.
A new feature in this game is in-depth customisation options, with interchangeable in-game masks inspired by all forms of horror (folk, gothic, zombie, science fiction to the supernatural and more), and all-new taunts with unique voice lines. As well as your character, you can also upgrade your weapons. Go to The Laughing Policeman’s booth at locations around the map to get guns, ammo and steampunk-style changes.
