Endzone – A World Apart originally released for PC in mid-2020, and was met with positive ratings, currently sitting at over 70% on Metacritic. Now, Gentlymad Studios and their publisher Assemble Entertainment have announced that this post-apocalyptic city builder is headed to consoles!
The brand-new ‘Survivor Edition’ includes the full base game and the first DLC chapter, titled ‘prosperity’. “While it’s been a long-time desire for us to bring Endzone to console platforms, the UI overhaul required to adapt such a deeply immense strategy game is nothing short of a challenge,” said Stephan Wirth, Co-Founder and Experience Lead, Gentlymad Studios. “We’re so excited to share this lovingly created game with new audiences come May, and we sincerely hope players enjoy the experience we’ve crafted for consoles.”

Endzone – A World Apart, is often compared to titles like Banished, Frostpunk, and Surviving the Aftermath, and features intricate gameplay systems, deep mechanics and complex weather and environment simulation. In the game, you will be responsible for the last remaining settlement of humans who have emerged to the Earth’s surface following 150 years in underground bunkers to escape global destruction via nuclear holocaust. It’s up to you to maintain the wellbeing of this colony by building housing, developing a functioning electrical system and maintaining stable food and water supplies. ‘Unlike similar titles in the genre, Endzone won’t see players face off against ghastly ghouls and irradiated monstrosities. Instead, violent weather events, such as sandstorms and drought, as well as tribes of brutal raiders, are the violent forces that seek to destroy the settlement.’
Endzone – A World Apart: Survivor Edition launches digitally on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on 19th May, 2022. Additionally, a physical, boxed PlayStation 5 retail version will also be available for those who like to hold their games in their hands.
