Roadwarden is a Text-Based Medieval Fantasy Adventure

Roadwarden is an illustrated text-based RPG that uses isometric pixel art and combines mechanics borrowed from RPGs, Visual Novels, adventure games and interactive fiction.

Assemble Entertainment and Moral Anxiety Studio are bringing some illustrated, text-based RPG action with Roadwarden! Aside from this major news, we’ll be getting an all-new teaser trailer and an official demo, the latter being available for download on Steam.

The game brings together both high fantasy and medieval adventure with a distinct isometric pixel art style. Both long-time fans and enthusiasts of RPGs, visual novels, and interactive fiction just might find this as their new cup of tea. The plot follows an explorer hired by a powerful merchant guild, tasked with journeying to a mysterious peninsula with the objective of spreading the guild’s influence.
